Bis 1969 produzierte Auto Union (später Audi AG) nur recht biedere Limousinen wie den Audi 100. Doch im Jahr 1969 wurde der Audi 100 Coupé S vorgestellt. Mit diesem Modell gelang Audi der Einstieg in eine Klasse, die bis dahin Fahrezugen wie dem von Pinninfarina entworfenen Fiat Dino oder anderen Coupés vorbehalten war. Der Audi 100 Coupé S basiert auf dem Audi 100, weist jedoch einen leistungsstärkeren Motor (112 PS / 185 km/h), verbesserte Bremsanlage und neue Inneneinrichtung auf.
Das Modell im Maßstab 1:18 von Anson wird in einem Karton mit Klarsichtfenstern an der Front auf auf der Oberseite, montiert auf einem schwarzen Kunststoffsockel geliefert. Türen, Motorhaube und Kofferraumdeckel lassen sich öffnen. Die Räder sowie das Lenkrad lassen sich drehen.
Das Modell ist in einem authentischen Orange lackiert und weist detaillierte Chromteile auf. Die Felgen sind exakte Nachbildungen des Originals. Sogar die in die Chrom-Stoßstangen eingelegten Kunststoffschoner sind authentisch nachgebildet
Unter der Motorhaube findet sich ein detailliert nachgebildeter Motor, im Kofferraum ein Ersatzrad.
Die Nachbildung der Inneneinrichtung lässt nichts zu wünschen übrig.

Up to 1969 the Auto Union (later Audi AG) only produced honest limousines like the Audi 100. But in 1969 the Audi 100 Coupé S was presented. With that car Audi entered a class of cars which were reserved by Pinninfarina designed Fiat Dino or other fastback GTs. The Audi 100 Coupé S was based on the Audi 100 limousine but with an improved engine (112 PS / 185 km/h), improved brakes and new interior.
Anson’s 1/18 scale model of the Audi comes in a carboard box with transparent top and front, mounted on a black plastic stand. The doors, the hood and the trunk can be opened. The wheels are steerable and rotatable.
The model is finished in an authentic orange color with detailed chrome parts. The eight spot rims with the four Audi circles are reproduced exactly in chrome and black.
Even the plastic protectors are inserted in the bumpers authentically.
Under the hood a detailed engine can be found and in the trunk there is a spare tire.
The interior of the model is a great feat. The wooden cockpit and ornamental moldings are perfectly reproduced.
