	Buick Cabriolet 1950 (Solido 1:43) Ein typisches Merkmal der US amerikanischen Fahrzeuge der 1950er Jahre: Der massiv verchromte Kühlergrill . A typical attribute of US american cars of the 1950s: The solid chromium plated radiator grill.


	deSoto (Vitesse 1:43) Eine der Marken, die vom Markt verschwunden sind. 1928 wurde deSoto als Marke für preisgünstige Fahrzeuge von Chrysler eingeführt, war aber nicht sehr erfolgreich. 1959 schloss sich deSoto mit Plymouth zusammen und ein Jahr später wurde die Marke eingestellt. One of the brands which disappeared from the market. In 1928 deSoto was introduced as the brand for the cheaper Chrysler cars. But the brand was not very successful. In 1959 deSoto joined Plymouth and one year later the brand was discontinued.

Studebaker Silver Hawk 1957 (Solido 1:43)

Noch eine Marke, die inzwischen vom Markt verschwunden ist. Die 1852 gegründete Firma fertigte zunächst nur Kutschen, dann ab 1902 Elektromobile. Ab 1904 wurde ein Fahrzeug mit Verbrennungsmotor hergestellt. Die anderen Modelle waren Fremdfabrikate, die unter dem Namen Studebaker vertrieben wurden. Ab 1913 wurden dann wieder eigene Fahrzeuge hergestellt. Bis in die 1960er Jahre war Studebaker ein florierendes Unternehmen. 1966 schliesslich konnte das Unternehmen nicht mehr gegen die Grossen bestehen und musste aufgeben.

Another brand which disappeared from the market. Originally the company founded in 1852 produced coaches. In 1902 an electromobile was introduced. All other models were built by other companies and distributed under the name Studebaker. In 1913 the company started to produce own cars again. Until the 1960s the company was a successful one. In 1966 Studebaker had to surrender against the big players.

Zwei Modelle aus meiner Sammlung, die deutlich zeigen, dass sie als Spielzeug sehr beliebt gewesen sind: Ein Oldsmobile Toronato von Siku und ein Chevrolet Corvette Stingray von Corgi-Toys.

Two models of my collection which show clearly that they were very popular as toys: An Oldmobile Toronato by Siku and a Cevrolet Corvette Stingray by Corgi-Toys.
